YARD GIVE

What is Yard Give?  It’s like a yard sale BUT…we give everything away for FREE! We collect the best of our extra household items, clothes, furniture, and toys and give them away to our community. Yard Give is an annual event at Restoration. We do this as an expression of God’s love. We believe that God loved the world and gave His Son, Jesus, freely as His gift to us. We want to model that love by giving the community some of our best items, freely, just because we want them to know they’re loved. Yard Give is an outreach event that we do each year in light of 1 John 4:19, that says “We love because He first loved us” and of Matthew 5:16 which says “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.”

This is the mission of Yard Give - to give our very best and love our community well, because God has loved us first and given us His best gift through His son, Jesus.

All shoppers must be registered with a ticket to enter. Please register everyone you are bringing with you. Shoppers without a ticket will not be permitted to shop until 10:45 am.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

In order to make Yard Give a success, we rely on wonderful donors like YOU to make it successful! Restoration will be hosting multiple drop-off times throughout the week to allow for more preparation time and to offer more drop off windows for your convenience. Please see below for this year's drop off times!

Items We Accept:
  • Clean, unstained and SORTED clothing
  • Toys with all pieces/parts
  • Fully functional household items
  • Bibles and Children’s Books ONLY
  • Clean, unstained linens (Please label for size)
  • New (in original packaging) underwear
  • New-with-tags adult swimwear
  • New-with-tags children’s swimwear
  • New mattresses (in plastic) and bed pillows
Items We DON'T Accept:
  • Mattresses and bed pillows
  • Dirty or stained clothing
  • Toys with missing or broken parts
  • Broken, non-functional household items
  • Dirty or stained linens
  • Used adult swimwear or undergarments
  • Used Children’s Undergarments
  • DVDs
  • Profane material

DROP-OFF PROCEDURE

  • When you bring your donations, you will see drop points for Adult Clothing, Children’s Clothing (4 years – 12 years), Baby Clothing (0 – 3 years), Housewares, and Toys.
  • Furniture will be accepted at the blue building. Drop off will be most efficient and go quickly if your items are bagged/boxed according to the above categories. Thank you in advance for your help with this step!
  • We are also collecting large re-usable shopping bags, Extra plastic hangers, Large plastic bins, Boxes & Shelving/Clothing racks.

Because we aim to demonstrate the love of Christ by giving our best and nicest “extras,”
please keep in mind that we can only accept clean, unstained and functional items. This
will allow our shoppers to shop with dignity and be even more blessed by our Yard Give.

PRAYER POINTS FOR YARD GIVE 2024

We would love for you to join us in covering Yard Give in prayer beginning now. For those of you who are
unable to physically volunteer for the Yard Give, this is great way that you can play an extremely
important part in the event.
Would you considering partnering with our church family in this endeavor and commit to praying over the
Yard Give? Some specific ways that you can join us in praying are:
  • Pray for an abundance of volunteers so that we can have the most successful Yard Give possible.
  • Pray for our donors and that they would be blessed as they begin to set aside their very best “extras” to donate.
  • Reflect on the love that God has for you and thank him in prayer. Pray that God will empower our volunteers to show this type of love to each other and to the community at Yard Give. "We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19.
  • Pray that the details for Yard Give will fall into place and that everyone involved will have a sense of anticipation and excitement for what God has planned through this event.
  • As we approach the week of December 4th , pray for the health of and protection over our volunteers and that we would have many opportunities for Gospel conversations over this week. Ask God to prepare the hearts of those who will hear the gospel. Pray that they will respond by giving their lives to Jesus and that all those who attend might "see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven". Matthew 5:16
